Competition categories

The division of competitors into categories ensures a fair competition in which only equal athletes compete. We tried to make the division at our competition as optimal as possible. You can find the competition categories listed below. You can find a more detailed description of each of them in the rules.

Pole Artistic

Combination of sport and art in one. Expressing emotion and story through movement. It is not only the difficulty of the elements that matters, but the uniqueness and expression.

Wondering which level is yours?

Find out the limits of each level below. The given limits are part of the rules for individual categories. Our expert jury can assess the difficulty of the choreography, and contestants who exceed these limits will receive a point penalty for non-compliance with the rules and will be moved up a category during the competition (from amateur to advanced) or even lower (from pro to advanced) and will be judged within this category.

Amateur is someone who...

  • has not currently or in the past engaged in a similar sport at a competitive level (gymnastics, figure skating, ballet, show dance, rock-n-roll)
  • he never competed in a higher category than amateur
  • has a maximum of 170 degrees of flexibility in the front and middle split
  • when bending the back, the hands behind the head do not touch the legs in any position
  • does not perform dynamic elements on equipment - jumps (flips) and regrips, plank positions or lifts
  • on the ground, he may not perform more difficult acrobatic elements: backflip, flip forward or backward, arab

Advanced is someone
who...

  • in the present/past he may or may not have engaged in a similar competitive sport
  • may or may not have participated in competitions in the past, but never won 1st place in the advanced, semi-pro, pro or elite categories
  • it has flexibility in the front and middle split of 180 degrees and more
  • can perform elements with bending of the back and touching of the legs at the same time (e.g. cocoon)
  • can perform dynamic elements on equipment - flips and regrips, plank positions and lifts
  • all acrobatic elements are welcome

PRO is someone who...

  • has extensive experience with competitions
  • in the past he won 1st or 2nd place in the category advanced, semi-pro, pro, elite
  • perform a high level of skills in the given sports category
  • uses dynamic elements, regrips and lifts, flexible and strength tricks at a high level of difficulty
